RMT Information

Registered Massage Therapy in Brampton — Where Clinical Skill Meets Real Relief

A spa massage feels good for a day. Then the tension comes back — same spots, same tightness, same headache building at the base of your skull.

That's because most massages treat the symptom. Our RMTs treat the cause.

    IS THIS FOR YOU

This Isn't Just for Athletes and Weekend Warriors

Our RMT patients in Brampton are office workers whose necks have been building tension for months, construction workers and tradespeople managing the daily physical load of their jobs, people recovering from car accidents under an MVA plan, and anyone who's been told to "just rest" and found that rest isn't doing much.

You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from massage therapy. But if you are — if the pain is affecting your sleep, your work, or your ability to move without thinking about it — you're exactly who we're here for.

At Executive Rehab, our Registered Massage Therapists are regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). They're trained to assess your body before they touch it — not just respond to where it hurts. That's the difference between a massage that feels good and one that actually changes something.

Executive Rehab in Brampton offers Registered Massage Therapy for injury recovery, chronic pain, MVA rehabilitation, stress-related muscle tension, and general wellness — delivered by CMTO-registered therapists in private treatment rooms.

    OUR APPROACH

What Happens in Your Session — From the First Minute

Your session doesn't start on the table. It starts with a conversation.

Your RMT will ask about your health history, where you're feeling pain or tension, what your work looks like, how you sleep, and what you've already tried. That intake shapes everything — so the treatment addresses the right tissue, not just the area you pointed to.

    Our RMTs are trained in:

    1

    Swedish massage

Long flowing strokes that improve circulation and calm the nervous system. Best for stress-related tension and general soreness.

    2

    Deep tissue massage

Slower, targeted pressure on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. For chronic tension, repetitive strain, and knots that don't respond to surface work.

    3

    Myofascial release

Sustained pressure on the fascia surrounding your muscles to release restrictions that cause pain and limit movement. Particularly effective for chronic pain patterns and postural problems.

    4

    Trigger point therapy

Targeted pressure on specific knots that refer pain elsewhere. That headache starting at the base of your skull? Often a trigger point in the upper traps or suboccipital muscles.

    5

    Prenatal massage

Adapted positioning and techniques for expectant mothers in their second and third trimester. Reduces low back pain, hip pressure, swelling, and sleep disruption.

    6

    Lymphatic drainage

Light, rhythmic techniques that support the lymphatic system, reduce swelling, and support recovery after surgery or injury.

Sessions run 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes. Most patients dealing with chronic tension or injury notice a meaningful difference within 3–5 sessions. For maintenance and stress management, every 2–4 weeks works well for most people.

    WHY US

Why Executive Rehab RMT Is Different From a Standalone Massage Clinic

At most massage clinics, your therapist works in isolation. They see your file, work the areas you mentioned, and send you home. There's no connection to what else is happening in your body — no physio input, no awareness of your full treatment history.

At Executive Rehab, your RMT is part of the same clinical team as your physiotherapist and chiropractor. If you're seeing our physio for a shoulder injury, your RMT knows about it. They focus on the soft tissue work that complements what physio is doing — which means faster results and no wasted sessions.

That's the difference integrated care actually makes.

    At every visit you get:

    • A real assessment at your first session — posture, range of motion, and specific areas of concern evaluated before treatment begins.
    • Private treatment rooms — every session in a proper clinical environment, fully draped throughout.
    • Direct billing — we bill Sun Life, Manulife, Great-West Life, Green Shield, and most major Canadian providers directly. Eligible patients pay nothing out of pocket.
    • MVA billing accepted — RMT is covered under Ontario's Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) for motor vehicle accident claims. We work directly with your auto insurer.
    • Integration with your care plan — if you're receiving other treatment at Executive Rehab, your RMT sessions are coordinated with the full picture.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

Your First RMT Visit at Executive Rehab

What to bring: Your extended health benefits card or insurance information and photo ID. If you're coming under an MVA claim, bring your claim number — we'll handle the rest. Wear comfortable clothing or plan to undress to your comfort level. You are always fully draped — only the area being treated is uncovered. Arrive 10 minutes early.

What happens: Your RMT reviews your health history, asks about your specific concerns, and does a brief postural and range of motion assessment. They explain what they're planning before they start. You leave your first session knowing what was found, what was treated, and what a realistic plan forward looks like.
